Fall: The most wonderful time of the year

Fall: The most wonderful time of the year

I know, I know, they always talking about the Holidays being the most wonderful time of the year, but I just don't buy into that. For me, as a sports fan, Fall is the most wonderful time. That's right, I said it, and I don't feel the least bit bad about it.

I know, I know, they always talking about the Holidays being the most wonderful time of the year, but I just don't buy into that. For me, as a sports fan, Fall is the most wonderful time. That's right, I said it, and I don't feel the least bit bad about it.

Just think about it. Autumn officially started on September 22nd, and lasts until December 21st. What do we get during that amazing time of the year. Yeah, yeah, I know the leaves turn colors, which is pretty. Snow starts to fall, and that can be beautiful. But that isn't what I am talking about. Think harder. There you go. We get the start of the football season, the final push for the MLB Postseason, the entire playoffs and the World Series (the Fall Classic), the NBA and NHL Seasons get under way, and let's not forget Halloween and Thanksgiving. It is a true paradise for sports fans.

Pretty much every day in the fall you are going to have at least one game that matters. There are watch parties, tailgate parties and championship parties. We get to see teams Hail Mary, Walk Off in extras, beat the buzzer and even goalies standing on their heads. We see our friends celebrate, and sometimes cry, but most importantly, we get to see them. So throw on your lucky socks, grab your favorite mug, and wrap a scarf around your neck, then head out to the bar or a buddies place. They have missed you too, and what better time to see them again than fall, the real most wonderful time of the year.
