Every year fall is an exciting time with College and NFL Football, the MLB Playoffs, and the start of the NHL and NBA Season. This year we get an added bonus. The World Cup!
This year, the world will come together to root on their respective national teams as they compete to see who will be adding a star to their banner, and lay claim to the title of Champion for the next four years. The most popular sport in the world will be taking center stage starting on November 20th.
Now, I love the game, but I am far from the biggest fan. I do not watch as much soccer as I do other sports, but every four years I go all-in for the World Cup. With that being said, I think that Team USA has a real good shot at getting into the knockout stage this time around. But I am really hoping that Mexico and Canada will get out of group play as well.
There is going to be a lot of great soccer, and I can't wait. Make sure you get a scarf for your favorite team to wear to the bar, hang in the basement, or just to help stay warm in the coming months.
